What is a TIFF file?

A TIFF file is a data-type used in any graphics software products.

How can I use the Intact Forest Landscapes map in TIFF format?

1. To download a TIFF file for your area of interest, select the location on the map or select the file from TIFF list.
2. Once you have downloaded the file 300dpi_xx.tif, use any graphics software that can open TIFF file.

What are the raster options?

Format: TIFF, LZW image compression
Resolution: 300 pixels/inch

What is the data projection?

Projection: Miller Cylindrical
Spheroid: Sphere
Central meridian: 0

What can I see on the map?

The Intact Forest Landscapes TIFF files contain the raster maps of Intact Forest Landscapes (IFL) areas divided into the regular grid blocks.

Lat/long grid is 1 degree and you can find the coordinates in the lower left corner.

Using TIFF files you can see and print IFL maps for your local area and fined out more or less their exact position.
