The majority of all IFL in the region is controlled by Papua New Guinea (46,2% of all IFL in the region), Australia (38,9%) and New Zealand (12,1%).

2 countries in the region (Fiji and New Caledonia) have lost all their intact forests.

8,8% of intact forest areas are located in strictly protected areas.

The majority of all IFL in the region are part of the tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forest biome.
